Hands-on
In the last few years, Technology Unlimited has been growing rapidly. Among other factors, this development is driven by the growing scale and complexity of our systems, our rising number of international projects and our continual focus on innovation and improvement of processes and products. We regularly provide tailor-made solutions that go above and beyond the ordinary, which is what makes our company so interesting. Naturally, our project managers play a vital role in our growth and the successful completion of our projects. Will you join our team?
As a Project Manager, you will supervise multiple projects simultaneously. These projects are currently mainly in Europe and the US and vary from expansion on existing installations to completely new raw material dosing installations to multiple production lines. As a result, we regularly have to deal with the challenge that our installations have to connect seamlessly to existing production lines of other manufacturers.
Within our organization and our projects the lines of communication are short. For example, you walk straight into the workshop where you see the product being built. We help and strengthen each other and together we work on the best solution for the customer.
You monitor the entire process and ensure that the project is realized within the agreements made. You will have regular contact with the customer and our own professionals. You will also contribute to the content of the work to be carried out and you will regularly be to be found on on- site.
Having some technical knowledge helps you a lot in this job. In addition, having experience in a project-based function is also really important. Your organizational skills can flourish in this position at Technology. And you seem to enjoy guiding projects on location as well. From Almelo to Arizona and from Munich to Madrid. The duration of a business trip is something we discuss with you. Communication is the key to success.
Triggered? Great! Feel free to get in touch and discuss the details!

A selection of our projects
Pre-fermentation machines
This system produces 3,000kg of pre-ferment per hour. A pre-ferment is a starter for bread dough and is made of flour, water and a small pinch of yeast. This mixture is then left to stand for around 12 to 20 hours, which then gives you a bubbling and fermenting raw material for baking absolutely delicious bread. The pre-ferment is made completely automatically (with the lights off) based on a specific recipe and schedule.
Process
Automation
Process automation is a vital part of our operations. We have developed an automatic system that calculates, weighs and doses all of the necessary raw materials for bread dough in batches. This creates a consistent and high-quality end product. We operate one or more PLCs using the MES application. Our systems work completely autonomously with no operator required.

Project Manager
Why did you come to work for us?
Because Technology Unlimited has everything in-house, from sales to production and then installation on-site. As a result, you see every step in the process of creating and installing the products, which boosts your motivation to make the projects optimally successful.
What do you like about the job?
As the job brings together so many different disciplines, it is always challenging and highly varied, allowing you to continually develop as a professional. In addition to organising and scheduling the project, you are involved in the entire process of installing a functional system for the client. Client visits are also an important part of the activities. The central focus of my job is the technology that underlies the solutions we offer the client and how to transform it into a functional production line within the specified frameworks.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I am a musician and am a member of a symphony orchestra, I enjoy photography, especially of aircraft, and I love to travel. I also like to ride my motorbike every now and then.
Why did you come to work for us?
Twelve years ago, I saw a job vacancy at TU that appealed to me. After my first interview, I was completely sold and I especially liked the flat organisational structure, which was significantly smaller back then.
What do you like about the job?
I have a huge amount of freedom in my work and personal initiative is valued highly. I enjoy solving complex problems within tight schedules and making a substantial contribution to the process.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to go cycling on my racing bike, although in the winter, I’m more likely to be on my skates than on my bike.

Bas
Project Manager
Why did you come to work for us?
Four months ago, I started at TU as a hirer in the position of Project Manager. It was a position I had never held before, though after an initial interview and having briefly experienced the atmosphere here, I felt that starting out as a project manager would be a great opportunity.
What do you like about the job?
In this job, your knowledge of systems and the bakery world is highly valued, you can contribute to every single part of the system, you get involved in technical issues and you make important decisions. Ultimately, the most satisfying part of the job is when you see the initial big-picture plans materialise into a functional and highly efficient end result.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to work on our farm and I go walking a lot with our dogs. I also like to play tennis and padel with a group of friends.
